We chose to serve cookies at lil sis's party - excellent choice!
But I just felt like I needed to make her an actual cake.

I was determined to make her a Snow White cake because I have such fond memories of my doll cakes as a child.  Then when my mom came to visit on her birthday she brought this...

Me on my third birthday!

Pretty cool!  The best part was lil sis said "thats not mommy that's big sis!"

HRR

"Our greatest desire is to provide children in need the opportunity to connect with a special 'equine counselor' and discover God's unique purpose for them by building a foundation of love, trust and faith."   This is the mission statement for Hope Reins of Raleigh.  For the third summer, big sis had had the amazing oportunity to go to their camp.  She has really taken to horses and enjoyed the fellowship!  She is so calm and gentle with these beautiful (and very large) creatures.  Her talent amazes me!  I think she has found something she really enjoys!
On day she took us around to see some of the horses.  The property is 30 awesome acres owned by our church.

Poses with a new pony named Hope.

Breath taking view that reminds me of His great glory!

My children never pass up the chance to swing!

This one shows how small the pony is.  Lil sis was in awe of the horses!

Football

Brother's biggest interest is sports.
Football and baseball being his favorites.
He has his football path laid out...

tonight we took the first step to what hopefully will be a long and safe playing career.

We met to get equipment and other details. His coach is exactly what a football coach for this age should be.  There will be no silliness and that's how brother wants it.  He wanted nothing to do with flag so we are starting with tackle.  It is for 6 & 7 year olds.
We are so proud of the young man God is growing in our home.
(Mommy is also praying daily for courage and strength to let him be tough!)

Sparkly Ears

Lately, lil sis has noticed earrings on big sis and mommy.
We talked about getting her some and when she got birthday money when went for it.  As we talked about doing this all she wanted were sparkly pink ears!  Well that is what she got!

Sitting in the chair very still...not sure she knew what was coming!
Mommy had called to make sure two people would be there to do the at the same time.

Mixture of shock & surprise!
This look went away quick as the lollipops came out!

It did make it harder to say no to the birthday girl!

Her grandparents were in town to celebrate and daddy met us for lunch at the mall.  It's mascot was a monkey...she loved him!!!

We all loved the dessert they brought her!
She was adorable singing to herself!!!

What a fun day at the mall with our three year old!!

T*H*R*E*E*

Our precious baby girl is three.
She is simply amazing!
She is beautiful inside and out!
She is happy, loving, verbal, spunky, cuddly, caring, nuturing, funny, and all around enjoyable.  She really enjoys music and can often be heard sing her own little songs which are a mix of others!
She is very flexible, sleeps and eats like a champ.
She loves preschool and church...social butterfly for sure!
Actually, one thing she doesn't like is to be alone.

She has the best big brother ever!  Their relationship is genuine and pure.
I am amazed at how natural it is as well!

She still naps really well but is ok to skip if we are on the go.  She lays her head on her blanket when she's sleepy.  (yes, that's a paci and like I've said before she might keep it until 5!!!)

She has settled in her big bed well and sleeps great at night!  Not many things beat watching a little one sleep especially with their rump in the air like this.

She is another fish.  She enjoys the water and is actually beginning to swim.  Being fearless helps!

She is very happy to be three!

She is a silly, cuddly bug.  This was taken one afternoon on "mommy's bed" after nap.  She is not a TV watcher but enjoys waking up slowly in our bed after a nap is cut short.

She just love her "friends" and talks about the a lot.  We are so thankful she has a safe, christian preschool to attend with her friends!

When we prayed a child we had no idea what joy she would bring to our family.
Everyday is more special because God gave her to our family!
Our prayer for her is that her light continues to shine as her love for Jesus grows.

Snow White Party

Birthdays are about making dreams come true...
Lil sis likes all things girly and adores Snow White.
So for months we have been planning a Snow White party for her third birthday.
We invited Snow White herself (via The Fairytale Experience) and booked a room on the preschool hall of our church.  As we planned and talked about her party lil sis was very specfic about a few things she wanted.   We tried extra hard to incoporate all of her ideas into her party!!

As she suggested juice, chips, cookies, ice cream and watermelon!

Cake pops made the perfect centerpiece!

The adorable goodie bags were filled with her favorite things...bracelets, playdough, stickers, bubbles, candy... lots of great items!

Big sis and her friend decorated the board just for her!  Sweet!

Waiting for her guests...not sure she knew exactly what to expect!

Mirror, Mirror on the wall;
How can it be?
Is she really THREE?!?!?!

While anticipating Snow White's arrival the girls did lil sis's favorite activities - coloring, playdough and stickers!

Lil sis was over heard telling someone upon Snow White's arrival that she was there for her party!!

Snow White helped the girls make a tiarra.

When she finished, she rushed over to the mirror to check herself out!  She was kissing it and making the sweetest faces as she admired herself!

Next she was treated to a make over - princess style!

Then it was storytime...the Snow White fairytale of course!

Most of her friends
(some wouldn't get too close and others couldn't be bothered for pictures!)

Our princess enjoying the attention to the fullest!!!

All of the fun left the girls hungry!
Lil sis enjoyed all her treats!

One final hug before Snow White had to return to her castle!
What a special memory!

Another special request was to dance with daddy to princess music!
Daddy was honored to fill this request!

All done up...make up, nails and lots of tatoos!

Before her friends left there was girl talk

hugs,

silliness,

and love!!

Then they all live happily ever after!!!!!!
