Meet the Teacher

Today lil sis went to meet her three year old preschool teacher!

She looked so grown up!

 

 

First stop was Mrs. Julie's table.  She's the music teacher and lil sis has a heart for music and adores her music teacher!!!

Outside the door armed with chocolate (yep momma was too busy to whip up anything cuter but wanted to give them something and lets be honest what would you like more than chocolate?!?!)

 



 

She was a bit timid at first...

but warmed up quickly!  

 



 

Its hard to believe she's three!
We are so proud of the sweet girls she is.  She has a giving spirit and obedient heart.

Her love for and knowledge of her Saviour is growing daily.

We are so thankful that she can attend a preschool that teaches the gospel first and allows everything else to follow!  ABC's and 123's don't mean much if you don't have your salvation!

All About Brother

 

Brother had to prepare a box to take to first grade that told his classmates all about him.

Here is what he picked out:

bubble gum

a word search

 

Those are a few of his favorite things!!!!

Game #1

Twas the night before brothers first football game and momma couldn't sleep...well she stayed up late to be really tired!  He has been just loving football practices which is a good thing because its everyday except Sunday but was ready for a game day!!!  He woke up early and was ready to go!

 He likes the after game hand shake... especially after a victory!

His team scored three touchdowns and held the other team to just one!

 

 

Granny and Granddaddy decided to come see his first game!

 

Momma has a feeling I should try harder to learn this sport because brother is in his glory!

3 Year Old Gymnastics!

 

Lil sis has missed her gymnastics classes this summer.

Today was the first day of her three year old class where momma got to watch instead of participate with her.  We had talked about this and she was super ready to go!!

 

She was so cute bouncing around in there!

 

What better way to celebrate a new class than lunch with friends?!?! 

We are so proud of our big girl!

Daddy Daughter Dance

 

Daddy and big sis dressed up for a daddy daughter dance with her Y Princess Tribe.

After fussing over wearing a dress, she got all dolled up!

 

How adorable is this!

 

The dads decided to go in style and rent a limo.

She was beside herself excited about this!!!

I think she could live this life!!

Oh how I wish I knew how to upload video and show her dancing the night away.

She enjoys music and has good moves!!!!



Football Season

Brother has a football practice and or event everyday except Sunday in August!

 

We are just thankful he has this chance and ability!

We are also thankful that the girls love to join him at the field!!!

Deck out for the first night of padded practice which followed ten hours of conditioning!

  Football is serious business!

 

 

This was the third night of practice and he earn a helmet from his coaches for hard work.  He was so proud and of course picked a Panthers one!

 

Momma got a shot on picture day!  One handsome boy!  I need to find a picture of daddy in football gear to compare!

 

This was his first big event.

They held a Jamboree at a local university in scrimage form.

He was so ready to play a game!!

(These are a few weeks old but too cute not to post!)

One of the activities big sis asked to do this summer was skating.  She really enjoys this but the closest rink has odd hours.  Momma thought every Tuesday night was Christian music night and we planned a family night the day before football took over our schedule.  Well that is only the second Tuesday night of the month and the night we planned was free pizza night...not as we planned but fun was had by all!!

 

 

 



Above is proof of my words "he is the best brother ever!"...yes he carried lil sis' baby around for her when she was trying to skate and needed my hands.

It is nice to be able to take them all three out in the evening without an incident!!

New Year

 

Each year the time comes for school to begin.  This year we were all pretty much ready!

We had a great summer but structure and activities make us happy!

We also like to shop for school supplies - really!

 

Our school has an Open House night on Thursday before school begins on Monday.  This is when you find out your teacher.  This year it was just momma and big sis because brother didn't want to miss football!  So we had a blast looking around to see who her friend's teacher were and catching up.

First day of Third and First Grade!

Both children have amazing teachers had picked just for them. 

I know its going to be a fantastic year!

 

It was neat to see them work out the jitters (which were minor!) with a noodle fight in the driveway before hopping in daddy's car for school!

 

Brother's teacher asked for a first day special snack.  I had fun planning fun items like edible crayons and was pleased he actually was excited I was coming!  Holding on to my sweet boy as long as I can!

 

After school we stopped for what has become a first day tradition...ice cream with friends!

Summer 2012

In the beginning of June we made a list of activities we wanted to do this summer...well the children did anyway.  Here is a look back over the summer of 2012.  (Not in order but still fun!)

Swim team is always fun.  Our team was 4-2.  Go Dolphins!

We spent parts of most weeks at Summer Camp at Bay Leaf.  Friday was water day fun!!
