Black Friday
We spent Black Friday enjoying some of our favorite things!
The girls ate and shopped with granny.
While the boys took in some Pirate Football with granddaddy!
Then on Saturday we enjoyed one of my favorite family traditions!
My parents began hosting an oyster roast the day after Thanksgiving (or 2 is there's Pirate Football!) to celebrate but not eat more turkey! Over the years this has grown to include so many extended family members. It is such a special day!
Brother was not sure about oysters and momma didn't push them on him ;)
It as another beautiful day to be outside visiting or
inside crafting!
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect all of God's blessings.
His provision for our family never seizes to amaze me!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Today we traveled to Hope Mills to fellowship with the Foster side of the family.
The children look forward to this all year!!
About a week before going, I was talking to lil sis about our cousins. She asked me if the yummy stuff that was yellow would be there. She remembered the deviled eggs!
Thankfully I figured this out in time for grandma to make some!
The weather was perfect for playing outside
and inside once the sun went down.
We are so thankful for our family!!

Pumpkin Pizza Pies
We continued our Thanksgiving tradition of reading Albert's Thanksgiving and making pumpkin pizza pies. This was one of my favorite things to do with my first grade classes but sharing it with my own children is so special!
It was a PJ day and big sis emerged just in time to taste!!!
Some days I miss the days they were in preschool but days like to day I am glad they are mature enough to really help and enjoy special project...lil sis was learning from pros!!!

Praise Music
Tonight we had a fun family night at a family members church. They had a powerful musical experience. They children enjoyed it so much!
Well lil sis enjoyed the dancing in the lobby area most of the time!!!
Camping Duo
Our children are blessed a dad who choose to send time with them. They are his hobby.
This weekend daddy and big sis got to spend the night at a local camping area. It was one of our first cold weekends but the fun continued.
The 53 degree water didn't stop them from earning a new patch.
They performed the Triple Thrill.
This consisted of jumping off a dock walking/wading to another, climbing up to swing on a rope swing landing in the water and finished with the slide seen in above picture.
All in 53 dereee water for a patch.
Yes, glad this tribe stuff is for dads!!!
The totum pole behind the was created by the girls.
Big sis's had the butterfly right over their heads.
Before leaving on Sunday they took a 4 mile hike and
a few silly pictures!

Day Full of Celebrations
Today was one of our first truly out numbered days!
Each child had a Thanksgiving Celebration at three different locations within 2 hours of one another! This made for fun planning but we worked it out so each one had a parent present!
Daddy took the older ones and momma took lil sis since she is at her preschool anyway.
Our littlest turkey!
She was so proud of her work!
She said she was thankful for Jesus, Babies, Coloring, God and Firetrucks!
We enjoyed a yummy lunch but all eyes were on that turkey cupcake!
Daddy's first stop was brothers class.
They made their special snack...turkey cookies!
Then went back to the room to share some work. Daddy did a great job of recording brother reading his book. Here is what it said:
This Thanksgiving I am going to see my grandparents.
On Thanksgiving I like to eat turkey, chicken and corn.
On Thanksgiving I watch football.
I am most thankful for my mom because she cooks for me!
Next, he picked big sis up from her class and went to a local church for crafts, food and fun!
There are countless blessings this year...these three faces are at the top of the list for sure!

Big Girl's Big Day
At age 3.4 lil sis is one sharp cookie!
She is also curious and full of pure joy!
Lots of things are different for her due to her birth order...some of these are good and some not so much. One of the not so much's is her paci. We fully intended for it to be gone by 3 as we were adviced for brother. Well three passed and we had confined it to the bed but she was still using it to fall asleep and sleep very well!! Then football season began, then school and well it just became nice to have it in the van for her to catch a nap on the go! Then in September I relied on the dentist to push us to get rid of it but he didn't...so we prolonged this habit. Did I mention how well she napped with it? During these last few months we had been talking to her about getting rid of it but she showed zero interest! Then today she just told me she was ready to get rid of them. As previously mentioned she's sharp and had remembered a promise of a Target trip if she did this.
So after gymnastics we went to Target and she picked out the babies she had at the top of her Christmas list! Oh boy was she excited! These babies helped keep us busy during naptime and tire her out really good before bedtime. Once bedtime came she did cry some but honestly it wasn't as bad as I predicted. It wass pitiful but tolerable! Then the 5 AM wake up came and was not as tolerable at all! On day 2 she fell asleep in the van (with her hand in her snack bag) right afterschool due to the 5 AM wake up. She did not transfer to her bed but 45 minutes in the van seemed perfect. When bed time rolled around she asked for it and fussed a bit but went on to sleep and has been normal since!
As I am typing this its day 3 and she didn't mention the paci one time today!
Impressive for her but the transition to no naps might be too much for me!!

Guide Day
Daddy and brother attended a Y Guide day at Camp Kanata enjoying the beautiful fall weather.
It was sunny and mid 70's ...perfect for outside games!
Then the walk to the bonfire...the rest is between guides at their induction!
So thankful for this man and all he does for our children!
Also, secretly thankful I don't have to camp!!
