Boys Weekend

Daddy and brother had their big Spring Outing with their Y Tribe.
Brother was excited after hearing the wonderful adventures big sis had talking about.

What a nice setting for basketball...yes, Carolina blue skies!

While the boys fished, played, shot and yes zipped (he had said he had no interest in the zipline but did it three times!!)...

The girls played, shopped and ate!
So thankful my children have a father that truly enjoys being with them.
It is not tack or check mark for him.
He desires to be with them at all times.
This momma's prayer is they grow up to be just like him...brother is well on his way!

Horse Show #2

Today was big sis' second horse show.
She was so excited because she knew exactly what to expect and was riding her favorite horse again!
It was a perfect day too.  Sunny and crisp!

She was in her element.  Girls all around and of course horses!

Big sis and her favorite horse, Peanut.
He is a mixed breed, stubborn horse that she has a very special bond with.
She talks to him and he listens!

She has Jazzy for one event.

Amazing to she her command an animal of this size.  At 9, I don't think I would have walked up to a horse.  She was calm and Peanut responded so well!

First blue ribbon!!

Lil sis was a huge cheerleader (daddy and brother were at camp!)

Day dreaming of when she can ride?

Super proud of our big girl.
She did so well showing and watching others.
What an amazing feeling to see  your child doing something they love.
God it Good!!!

Field Trippin

Brother's class had a field trip so lil sis and I tagged along.

Only first graders were allowed in the presentation so we had a muffin and watched butterflies.

After the museum we went to Pullen Park.
Not too many pictures because he was moving pretty fast!!

It was fun watching him interact with his peers.
Our boy is breaking out of his shell.  He is still cautious but much more adventurous!
It was also heartwarming to see he let his sister sit with him on the train!

Book Report

Brother had to do a book report...can you guess the topic?
Of course he picked a sport book and since its baseball season...
he picked a Washington Nationals books.
He wrote the report and dressed the part for his presentation.
My how I would have loved to have heard that!!!

Then he began to ham it up for the camera!
So proud of our little sports fanatic!!!

Donuts with Dad

Lil sis was thrilled to bring daddy to preschool with her today!
They had a donuts with dad and she got to show him around.
She is always joyful and happy but things are even more pronounced when daddy is around.
I love the way my girls (and boy!) admire their dad.  I could not ask for a better, more Godly example for them to look up to. Her teachers have been amazing and I can't begin to describe the strides she has made this year! Can hardly believe she only has one more year of preschool school!!

Spring Gathering

Each year we invite the Foster side of the family for a spring gathering with egg hunt.  The children really like this tradition. We made the very intentional decision to remove this from Easter so that our children wouldn't associate rabbits and eggs with celebrating our risen Lord.
This year was easy because Easter was so early!

The second cousins.
I wish I was better at technology and could upload the picture I took the very first year.
Brother was only a few months old!!

The weather and food were good.
The company was perfect...apparent by the lack of time I took to take pictures.

Spring Break 2013

This was our first spring break together since big sis started elementary school because the preschool usually follows the county and one or more of us has been there each year.
Easter was early this year so we were all off together.
This was a wonderful glipse of what lies ahead for summer!!!

Lots of PJ days just playing!
(Big sis has converted one of her closets for her AG dolls!)

A deliverly with thoughts of yard work!

Some time at the library!
(They were so excited which made me realize we really should go more often!)

An outing with grandparents!

Plenty of silliness!

Strange men showing up on the walls - thanks granddaddy!!

On the last weekday daddy took some time off to take them to Chuck E Cheese!
They were thrilled!!

Plenty of fresh air and new tricks to learn!

The entire world is not bad.
God is good and provides our every need!
