Horseman Day

After a week in fifth grade big sis goes to college...for a day!!
She was able to participate in a local college's youth horseman day sponsored by the vet school.
She wants to be a horse trainer when she grows up but thinks vet school will help her do this.

I love that she enjoys learning and is especially interested in horses.
Her compassionate heart would will do great things!

Throughout the day the participants did crafts, watched a rider and lectures about horses.

Lil sis went with me to pick her up.  When we got out of the van, she took a deep breathe and said "smells like we are in the right place!"

First Day 2014

For one year all three of our children will be in the same school level.
I think it harder to believe big sis is so close to middle school than that lil sis is in elementary school.
We will take time to enjoy this special season!

Brother is off to third grade.  He is so grown but still so sweet.
He is so strong and sensitive.  He has a heart of gold.

Lil sis off to Kindergarten...her first year of elementary school.
She is full of joy and loves life to the fullest.
She is compassionate, friendly and loves to sing!
(I guess I should mention opinionated...this was not the first day dress I had for her to wear!)

Big sis is off to fifth grade...her last year in elementary school.
I can hardly believe how mature she is yet loves to play with dolls.
She is fun loving and compassionate.

I am thankful for our school and how excited they are to go back.

Big girl off to school with big sis and brother...finally!

Whoo Hoo...they're off!!!!!
I love every second of being their mom...but a whole week alone has been calling my name!
After they were off, I spent time in each of their rooms praying for them.  I know its going to be an awesome year for each of them.

A friend of mine texted me this at lunch!

Then came our tradition of after first day treats!!!!
I am so proud of our children and the young people they are becoming!

Getting Ready

Lil sis has matured so much this summer.
In June, she was not even willing to entertain the idea of K.
But by August she was more than ready!
This week we had several events to get ready for the big day!

The school has a tradition of a picnic at a park for K children to meet.
She was thrilled and had fun but this is the only picture I got...may have been enjoying myself too!

Then it was of to meet the teacher.
I can hardly believe she's here.

Beyond thankful for this sweet teacher. Lil sis was 3 weeks old when we first met her.
She is such a special and gifted teacher and Godly woman.
I love that all three have had her for K!

On the afternoon before K, she and daddy had a special outing.

Big sis got a little pampering in preparation or fifth grade!

So brother doesn't feel left out...new shoes!!!

Summer has been awesome but its time to get back to a schedule!

Two Wheels All Around!!

Brother has not been interested in riding his bike much at all.
Therefore was struggling to ride with two wheels.
Finally he decided he was ready and mastered it quickly.

Which left one lil sis determined to do it as well!!!!!
(Thankfully 6 days after and not before!)

Which lead to a trip to the bike store and

new bikes all around.
Let the fun times begin!!

August the First!

August 1st is a date marked on our calendar each year.
It is filled with excitement, anticipation and nerves.
Its the day Bulldog Football begins!!!
This year times two!!!!!

Lil sis is cheering for Tiny Mite.

Brother moved up to Mitey Mite to be reunited with his first (and fantastic!) coach!
Hold on tights...its gonna be a fun fall!!
Big sis has already figured out this means two games most Saturdays.
