Ministering

Today big sis' class went to a local retirement center to sing and perform for the residents.
It was special seeing 8 and 9 year olds singing Christmas carols to such a captive audience.

It was also neat to watch the interact with the residents.

Big sis wouldn't leave until she told each one Merry Christmas!

Then we were off to the mall for lunch.
I thought she was being sweet asking to sit away from her friends with me...then I saw the large TV playing music videos above us!!
It was a special day!

JOY

Tis the season

Today we had a little holiday fun at the mall.
They were silly and actually helped pick up a few gifts for others.
The older two used to spend a lot of time at the mall for playdates but now it is a real treat!

Silly boy found a sports store at the mall and I was not sure we'd get him to leave!

The Great Christmas Giveaway

Tonight the first graders preformed
The Great Christmas Giveway.

It is amazing to see how well children learn their parts!
And of course the message is important all year but especially at Christmas!

Each child was ask to bring a gift to donate to a local charity.
This allowed them to practice giving to others!  Perfect!

I'd love for them to give me a picture with all looking and smiling!
SO thankful for their silly grins!

Brother did great and we were so proud.
I think above picture where he is showing his million dollar smile was the final straw in us getting a more advance camera :)

Star Student

This week brother is the Star Student in his class.
Apparently part of this has become bringing in a special snack.
When I asked him what he wanted he said something football.
SO we sat down with the computer and began searching.
We decided on football whoopie pies!
Nothing less the what my son wants!

Grandma was in town and surprised him at snack!

He is our super star every week!

Hmm...lil sis might be on to something here!!!

Meet Larry!

Big sis liked Veggie Tales.
Brother loved them.
Lil sis is learning to like them!

A local christian bookstore had a promotion recently to meet Larry.
Lil sis was super excited but backed off when she saw how big he was...he really was huge!

Brother was cool with giving him five!
It was our first basketball Saturday so big sis was at practice.

Lil sis did give him five but see momma's hand...she never let go!

But she tried!
