We survived our first big school project.
Big sis was assigned Noah Webster to research and given several choices for presenting the information. She was set on a board because she remembered seeing them last year when third grade was across the hall. We got a chuckle because she was most likely one of the few third graders who knew who Noah Webster was...we may have use dictionaries to "teach" her some vocabulary definitions!
She came up with the clever idea of making 15 dictionaries to display the facts.
She carefully made each one look real.
She was beyond proud of the finished project!
On the morning it was due, she was nervous about bringing it in alone.
I was touched that she asked me to walk with her and made sure we were all 5 ready and out the door by 7:20 (daddy does AM carline!) ! Then upon arriving at school she began to have second thoughts...but agreed that since I was there I should go all the way to the class. It was sweet the my girl who has always been independent was one of only a handful with a parent! I was proud to be with her!
