Mother's Day

Here's a phrase I read recently...no quotes as I am sure I am butchering it!

The most precious thing that a woman will ever have around her neck are a child's arms.

I am so very thankful for these precious gifts.
Being a mother is the most rewarding, challenging, and scariest job ever.
I know I won't ruin them...God has big plans for them I know.
But I do want guide them and point them towards Him.
This is not natural for anyone when sin is all around.
Oh but the laughs, hugs, kisses and occasional slime are feel natural!!

A wise momma friend of three children once told me this that you don't love any child more than another only differently because they have different needs.  I often remember this as one is challenging me to my core while another is being a total angel!

My sweet first born.
The day she was born my heart began beating outside of my body.
She is a strong, independent, creative girl.
She is witty and sensitive.
She loves to be social but requires down time to create.
Her school work is neat but around the house she is a mess.
Her art supplies are all over the house.
But one look at her amazing creations and its all good!

My son...oh my son.
You are special, selfless, caring, strong and all the things I love most about your daddy.
You are a cautious observer but life will not pass you by.
You pay attention to detail and have an amazing ability to learn, retain and apply information.
You are well rounded and easy going.
You are not easily angered and quick to forgive.
I love your passion for sports and love for your family.

Sweet, sweet lil sis.  Oh how thankful we are that you came into our family.
We prayed and prayed for you....big sis especially wanted a sister.
You keep us on our toes while melting our hearts.
You have each of us wrapped especially your brother.
You are fun, creative, compassionate and very busy.
You adore your babies and always play school with them.
Your passion for Jesus is incredible for your age.
You have shared this with others already!
Thankful.

Happy. Confused.  Busy. Overwhelmed. Stressed.
Completely Blessed!!!!!
