First Games 2013

Brother and his TMB (Tiny Mite Black) team had their first official game today.
He was excited it was at a local High School with a fantastic stadium.

Our boy is game on the entire time.
Such a role model for his teammates.

Bulldogs win!

After a shower and lunch, he and daddy went to Greenville to catch their first Pirate game of the season.  He was pumped to play and watch!

Love, love my football player!

Meet the Teacher - PreK

Today lil sis got to come to school and meet her preK teacher.
It was cool because she knew and liked her from our previous preschool.
Daddy was able to take her while mommy met her new class.

Her class theme is Zealous Zebras so of course we dressed the part and had a gift.

Giving Ms. Jody so me love

and meeting Ms. Mary.
These are two special, Godly women and I know He has big plans for the new program and our Little Knight.  She is excited to be at school with big sis, brother and momma.  ( Momma is too!)

There were babies and markers...she's hooked!
The picture she is working on was to be a self portrait.  She drew herself and daddy.  I will also add she wrote both of their names on the picture.
She one of the youngest but I have advised her teachers to not count her out!!

2013 Jamboree

Today was the 2013 Jamboree.
This is a chance for the team to play a couple of other teams in mini games.
Brother played offense and defense.
(He is #52 and his cleats have more white than most!)

My favorite center.

His personal cheering section.

His team did very well.
Looking like another good season!
It was hard for him not to move up with the majority of his previous team (they were mostly one  year older) but its awesome to see him become a leader.

Good Job #52

Mommy & Lil Sis

This week the big kids were back in school so lil sis and mommy had some fun.

She meet new friends while shopping,

had lunch at the mall (her request),

went to gymnastics,

and played & played at home.
As the week went on, I realized it as our last full week just the two of us.
She will be in pre-K 5 days this year and then K full time next.
WOW, I am so thankful for the time I have had with each child as preschoolers.
It was a little bittersweet knowing this was an end.  However, I am excited to see what this new season brings!!  With this in mind, Friday was a big celebration!

We did open play at Pump It Up,

played at a new toy store (she loves this!),

discovered GiGi's Cupcakes and

had lunch with a dear friend.

I will miss the silly free time these years have brought.

First Day 2013

Today these two began a new school year.
Big sis will face many new challenges in fourth grade.  But we are confident He has equipped her to face them all with grace and strength.  Brother begins second grade.  He will learn how to multiply and write in cursive but above all he will grow closer to his Savior.

They were super excited.
As mentioned previously it was a perfect summer but ten weeks is good. We had fun but are ready to see our friends and get a routine going again.

Our traditional cinnamon rolls to mark a special day.

Off they go!

Daddy texted me this picture.  He is the morning driver they have such a good time together.  He gets them there on time and is in charge of their weekly scripture memorizing!
Looking forward to a new year and new adventures!!

Sundays

Sundays are a day of rest and fun for us!

We've enjoyed eating out more this summer on Sundays .  It is priceless to just sit at a table and be waited on so we can focus on conversation.  It is also nice to leave the mess!

It is a great time for one on one time with the children too.
Today daddy took big sis to a horse show.  Her smile says it all.
With life getting busier and busier, it is nice to have Sundays to look forward to!

Last Day of Summer

One the last week day of the best summer in memory I stepped out of my box and into daddy's.
We went on an adventure and I must admit it was a  blast.

Where do you go to have fun when its hot outside and you've seen the pool a lot?

Chuck E Cheese was our choice.

We had fun playing the games with almost no one else there.

Got to hang with their favorite mouse and eat lunch.
It was a perfect way to end our summer.

Apparently we should have done this more often!
It was nice to step away from chores and just relax...hard for me but rewarding.
These precious ones will look so different by next summer.

Meet the Teacher

This beauty is getting ready for fourth grade.  She is a strong student and I know she will excel.
I also pray for her tender heart to be protect.
She will have four teachers and a locker this year.
Just feels like a lot of change is coming.

We went to meet her teachers and set up her locker tonight.  It was a fun night to get a feel of what's ahead!  She was thrilled to see her friends!
Note:  Brother decided that there was no need to miss football practice to meet his teacher.  He knew where the second grade rooms where and said he would read the names to find his room.
Yep, that's my boy!

Pep Rally

Today was a pep rally to get the Bulldogs excited for the season!
The girls sat this out but the boys had fun!!

It was also team picture day.

He bumped into his coach from last season.  This picture says so much.
He stopped to tell brother and another player from last season to be role models.  His pep talk was unsolicited and very meaningful.  He is such a dedicated coach!
