10

"every good and every perfect gift is from above"
 James 1:17

Our first born is double digits.
Some days it seems that long and others I can still hear her little sounds.
She is beautiful inside and out.
She is strong and confident yet very sensitive and compassionate.
She is funny, creative and intelligent.
She adores all things American Girl and horses.
She has an imagination that takes her many places.
She loves to learn and still has her mind set on being a veterinarian.
The Lord has big plans for our girl and we are honored to be along for the ride.

Celebrating in Snow

Our big celebration was a few weeks ago but we made today very special too!
The snow gave us a chance to slow down and enjoy every minute!
Our baby girl is double digits!  Crazy!!

We made sure she had a few presents too!

I love her expression as they sing!

An orange dreamcicle cake was her choice!

She had zero interest in snow all day but decided before going to bed she'd at least touch it.
We had a fun family day celebrating our big girl!!

Our American Birthday Girl

Instead of a party this year for her 10th birthday, big sis requested a trip to an American Girl store.
We looked at the calendar and picked today - right in the middle of a long weekend.
She asked grandparents (and a few good friends too!) for cash donations towards her trip for presents.
We took a day trip to DC and had a blast!!

For Christmas, she got a dress to match her Saige doll.  Perfect day to wear this!

Lil sis decided she need to take her Bitty Baby and match too!

This store was a great location.  About a 4 hour drive and inside a huge mall.  She could barely contain herself as we walked there!  She was super excited!!

We walked around looking and touching everything for about an hour.
(Daddy took lil sis and brother to explore the mall!)

She had a list than had no less than 10 revisions in January.
We met with a personal shopper to ensure we found it all.

A new doll was always at the top of each list.
This is Hannah her newest addition.

We played with all the exhibits!

And helped rearrange the furniture!

She really enjoyed the library and almost spend some money on a book...almost!

She was able to design a shirt for Hannah...with a horse of course.

 Successful trip!

We stepped out into the mall to sort, rearrange and touch all the goodies. She also wanted to get Hannah out and dress her in a new outfit.

Then we headed back in to touch it all again.

After a few hours daddy returned to see all the treasures.

Lil sis got some time in the Bitty Baby section.

Two good guys right here.
Note brothers new shoes...he spent some of his birthday money for his first pair of Air Jordan's.
Oh my the fun has begun for him too!!

This store is an amazing place with attention to detail everywhere...even bathroom!

Her special request was to eat there.  So we all had supper in the bistro before leaving.
It was good to sit and take it all in!

She had seen this flowerpot dessert online and of course my hand made a shadow in all the pictures.

Beautiful, happy girl!

Sweet, patient brother!!!

Looks like Hannah had an accident but no worries she's fine!!
What an amazing day.  We left with lots of treasures, tired bodies and happy hearts.
It was fun being a little girl again with my daughter today.  We had a great time.
Wondering if we've started a tradition!

Bowling

Our adult Sunday School class had a night out for bowling.
We had a blast.  Big sis has been a few times with her Y tribe and brother to a party a year ago but this was lil sis' first time.  It was also our first family game.  It was so much fun!

Lil sis was thrilled not matter what the ball did!

The older two were a bit more aware and competitive!

It was a fun night of fellowship and family fun!!
