Instead of a party this year for her 10th birthday, big sis requested a trip to an American Girl store.
We looked at the calendar and picked today - right in the middle of a long weekend.
She asked grandparents (and a few good friends too!) for cash donations towards her trip for presents.
We took a day trip to DC and had a blast!!
For Christmas, she got a dress to match her Saige doll. Perfect day to wear this!
Lil sis decided she need to take her Bitty Baby and match too!
This store was a great location. About a 4 hour drive and inside a huge mall. She could barely contain herself as we walked there! She was super excited!!
We walked around looking and touching everything for about an hour.
(Daddy took lil sis and brother to explore the mall!)
She had a list than had no less than 10 revisions in January.
We met with a personal shopper to ensure we found it all.
A new doll was always at the top of each list.
This is Hannah her newest addition.
We played with all the exhibits!
And helped rearrange the furniture!
She really enjoyed the library and almost spend some money on a book...almost!
She was able to design a shirt for Hannah...with a horse of course.
Successful trip!
We stepped out into the mall to sort, rearrange and touch all the goodies. She also wanted to get Hannah out and dress her in a new outfit.
Then we headed back in to touch it all again.
After a few hours daddy returned to see all the treasures.
Lil sis got some time in the Bitty Baby section.
Two good guys right here.
Note brothers new shoes...he spent some of his birthday money for his first pair of Air Jordan's.
Oh my the fun has begun for him too!!
This store is an amazing place with attention to detail everywhere...even bathroom!
Her special request was to eat there. So we all had supper in the bistro before leaving.
It was good to sit and take it all in!
She had seen this flowerpot dessert online and of course my hand made a shadow in all the pictures.
Beautiful, happy girl!
Sweet, patient brother!!!
Looks like Hannah had an accident but no worries she's fine!!
What an amazing day. We left with lots of treasures, tired bodies and happy hearts.
It was fun being a little girl again with my daughter today. We had a great time.
Wondering if we've started a tradition!
