Our First Big Trip!

We are spoiled by getting to vacation a lot at the beach.
These trips truly are vacations where we relax, play, eat...repeat.
Well for my 40th we planned our first big trip...to Disney!
The children were beside themselves but had know idea what really was in store.  These children have the opportunity to experience many different activities where we live but nothing like Disney.  I mean they've never even been to an amusement park.

We went about our Saturday as usual and departed around 6:00 PM with high hopes to make it to Savannah.  Well we did!  They watched a movie then all fell asleep and thankfully went right back to sleep once we found a place for the night!

After a big breakfast, we started the second leg of the trip to Orlando.
Can I just say that they are amazing travelers!!!

We stayed at a WDW resort in a family suite.

There were three pools...one was heated and had underwater music.

There were three movie themes for the buildings.
We were in the Lion King themed building.

But enjoyed exploring the other buildings to stretch once we got settled in our suite.

The suite was like a condo.  The couch pulled out and the table pulled down to a murphy bed.  Every inch was maximized to make the little time we were there very comfortable.

Our little turkey was excited about her classes pizza party today.
I love working so close to my children.
Best of both worlds!!!

MVP

The Bulldogs had an end of the year celebration tonight.
He just loves being part of a team.
He is so confident and social around peers.

Lil sis was so proud of all the compliments coach said about brother.
Some I remember..."role model, watch him to know what to do, always ready..."
I was a proud momma!

More hardware!
It was getting late on a cold, wet school night so as the banquet was wrapping up we left quickly.
The next day we got an email for a coach saying they had special trophy for brother.
The league asks for individuals not be singled out for accomplishments but his team of 5 coached had gotten together to acknowledge extraordinary players.
They all voted for brother to be the teams MVP.
He was beside himself and truly knew what this meant.
He deserved this for so many reasons. He is a role model and leader for the field.  He is coachable and well disciplined.  He supported the team on the field and on the sidelines.
We were so proud and quick to point out this is what we are call to do.  The Lord expects us as Christians to stand out and be different.  It is amazing that he does this at seven in a group of 20+ peers. His coaches saw something different in his behavior.  They noticed his commitment and desire to do his best and improve.

Happy Boy!

Daddy was with big sis the night of the banquet so we had a separate celebration.
I adore who much our son is like his daddy.

Pirates

My three favorite guys!

Granddaddy got extra special tickets this week and brother enjoyed them to the fullest.
Granddaddy even called the next morning to make sure he wasn't sick!

The players are so gracious about posing and brother loves it!

Book Fair

At the school book fair an author can to autograph his books.  The children were so excited.
Big sis could not put this book down and has asked for the others for Christmas.
So nice to have Christian role models for this age!
